Can I run this with ____ system?

Yes! Quest Chest is designed to be played in any system. There are a few systems that we specifically provide stats and encounter information for: D&D 5th edition, Pathfinder 2nd edition, Powered by the Apocalypse, and Savage Worlds.

With any other system, you can simply plug in your own monster/encounter stats, and you should be good to go!

How many players is Quest Chest?

There is no specific maximum number of players, theoretically. So long as they can roleplay with your group comfortably, Quest Chest will work with them. But Quest Chest cannot be played wholly solo. It is designed to be run by a GM who understands and knows the rules and encounters. So 2 players is the minimum players suggested.

Who is Noodle and how do I get a free challenge coin?

Noodle is our goblin crew member, that’s just tryin’ his best. During this campaign, we have designed 5 puzzles to solve. The first is hidden around this campaign page, and future ones will even be on our social media, and website. We will post a new puzzle every Tuesday on our updates!

Solve a puzzle to get a FREE metal challenge coin with your pledge. Solve additional puzzles to level up that coin! At the end of the campaign, you can choose any tier of challenge coin at or below your rank. And if you backed in the first 48 hours, you get the early-bird coin PLUS the free coin for completing puzzles.

Is Quest Chest a one-time use?

Yes and no. We built quest chest with the experience of breaking wax seals, lighting scented candles, and brewing included coffee or tea in mind. Those processes, however, are inherently finite. So, to solve this problem, we have a couple options.

  1. we’ve designed “refresh packs” that you can purchase. These packs of extra wax-seals, and any other consumables that are within your quest, will allow you to replay them over and over, without having to buy a whole new box.

  2. There are printable versions of the letters in the boxes. And though our scents and flavors are custom designed and curated to fit the experiences, we’re not going to be bothered if you decide to provide your own coffee/tea/candles for future play throughs. :)

When will I get my reward?

The short answer is “as soon as possible” the long answer is a little more complicated. There are 2 choices for fulfillment timeline(which will be chosen at the BackerKit phase).

  1. We originally thought of this idea as a subscription plan, that would deliver a new quest to you every quarter. So you can do it that way, if you’d like. Which will get you your first quests sooner. But this will cost more money than option 2, since we’ll have to coordinate shipping many boxes instead of just 1.

  2. You can choose to have all of your pledge sent at once. This will be far cheaper, but you will not receive the entire order until we are fulfilling the Campaign Chest tier. The current estimated timeline for this is December 2024. Check out Section 10: Fulfillment Timeline to learn more.

When is shipping charged? And what is BackerKit?

Shipping will be charged after the campaign, and will be done on BackerKit, which is our pledge-manager partner.

BackerKit is a fantastic tool to help finalize crowdfunding transactions! After the campaign ends, you will get an email inviting you to take a survey, and finalize your order through BackerKit. This will allow you to make any final choices for addons, or upgrades, and will then charge you for those additional choices. Shipping will be charged at a later day, and you will be sent updates and messages before shipping is charged. This allows us to more easily manage pledges, and organize them into our database for fulfillment.

BackerKit surveys will go out 3-4 weeks after the campaign ends.

How do I get the digital resources?

We provide a QR code at the beginning of the Quest Guide, and will be adding an easily typed URL as well in future printings. Go to that URL, and you have access to all of the digital files! Music, Voice-over, digital versions of everything included in the box, and more!

When will I be charged?

You will be charged once our campaign finishes. Check out Kickstarter’s FAQ for more information: https://help.kickstarter.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005126094-When-is-my-card-charged-

We will also have a BackerKit Phase where we will charge shipping separately, after the campaign is finished.

Can I pledge using PayPal?

No. Kickstarter doesn’t accept PayPal as a payment method right now, and we can only take pledges through Kickstarter. Sorry!

Will I be charged customs fees?

Customs fees vary country by country, and unfortunately we have no control over how those are levied by each country. We will be doing our best to send things in the most economical and efficient way to you, however!

How much will shipping cost?

Shipping costs are dependent on the destination country, the weight and dimensions of the package, and can fluctuate based on season and many other factors. These will be calculated after the campaign, during the BackerKit phase.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
